To Be Or Not To Be

I am a mother of two girls...and one boy..boys are boys...I don't really care how he is dressed because they are funny creatures..and will go out in whatever he can dish out of his wardrobe..just as long as he is comfortable..

his sister a 5 year old have often commented on his style..Bob you can't go out like that...when he goes out in his track pants..socks and sandals...yep...he's Vietnamese through and through...she makes him go and change..he comes down a few minutes later swapping the trackies for a pair of jeans...other than that still the same..it is on the third go that he swaps his sandals for runners...

my two girls are different though...they have got style...ever since they were little I have been  scared that if I am not careful they will turn out to be sến or cải lương in their choice of clothing..

my fear was at its worse during their younger years..they loved bright and colourful clothes..complete with bows...ruffles, lace and trimmings... it didn't help that on their birthdays they get pressies in the form of cải lương dresses...with layers like a mini wedding dress...in bright purple or pink..I was horrified..

lately I am less worried...my oldest chooses her own clothes when we go out shopping..I just have to tell her what to buy...ie 3 t-shirts 2 pants 2 skirts..and off she would go...I have complete faith in her...

my youngest I still need to buy for...she gets pretty clothes that are still full of lace and trimmings but not sến or cải lương ..she can dress herself now..and whatever she puts together goes together..she has perfected the act of mixing and matching..

as for me...I am going to be one of those mum that my girls will end up prettying me up...it has started already...my oldest choosing dresses for me that I would never choose for myself ...you would look nice in this mummy...
