Yes..we did go and we did see Salvador Dali...got to the Gallery at around 230-3pm..saw the line and I nearly bolted..
it was a few miles long..the exhibition closes at 5pm ..I was doing mental arithmetics in my head..it will take at least half an hour or an hour to get to the ticketing desk..we still had time??
a few minutes later a kind usher came to our rescue...he said you guys have kids come with me...and popped us in the priority line which only had 2-3 people in front of us..
hubby laughed..for once the kids are useful...
I walked into the exhibition to find people everywhere...oh no..
Salvador Dali's work was like a blur to me..there was only 2-3 paintings that made an impression on me..
his earlier works though clumsy were beautifully executed..the light...you could almost feel the sunlight streaming through...
his later works I did not enjoy as much..
so much for pretending to be an arty farty..next exhibition I am going to go by myself..or with adults..and it will be when there is no one around..if there is a next time...
