Acceptance ?

Drove down for the interview today ..left quite late..didnt leave till 1010am thinking I had plenty of time..by the time I have put more petrol in and start going it was 1016am..suppose to be there at 12pm...forgot that less than one hour from Melbourne is from where Melbourne start on the other side of town...

I panicked as I had to go through the city..and of all days traffic was bumper to bumper..road works with 40-60kph everywhere..got to Geelong with 10 minutes to spare..made the wrong turn from the M1 into town ..instead of turning right I turned left..quickly parked and asked a passer-by..he told me to turn back and drive down a few blocks..and the hospital was on the right..you cant miss it he said..

back in the car..drove there..no park..went around the block found a 2 hour one..my luck..and walked to the hospital..thought oh no..not a good impression to be late...thought I was out by 5 minutes..

got to the pharmacy department to see the clock just on 1159am...someone must be looking after me up there..for I had prepared for it but he didnt ask much...the interview went smoothly ..it is as if he's already picked me...

he then introduced me to the deputy..and took me across the road to where I am to work..in a small pharmacy...of a private hospital..clinical work yes..not deep end type..

as for weekends and on call he said it's up to me..when I feel like extra money or ready then he will roster me on..other than that not epxected..and on call is for 1 night..not a whole week like I was used to at St Vincent's ..

for now I am to email him with my starting date..he will ring up my referees to check up on me...organise short term accommodation and medical check...

on my part I am to do a police check..as well as a statutory declaration that the police check is on the way ..will also look for accommodation too...
